The AWCC Turbo programs are a new and exciting way to complete a Certificate and be ready to enter the oil and gas industry.

The AWCC RII21120 – Certificate II in Oil & Gas Drilling (Onshore) and Well Servicing Turbo program has been designed as an accelerated course that prepares students for entry roles in the Oil & Gas industry with the required Qualifications at the entry-level.

This program is designed to be completed in seven (7) days of training at either of our Toowoomba or Brisbane training centres. On completion, successful participants will be awarded a Nationally Accredited Statement of Attainment for RII21120 – Certificate II in Oil & Gas Drilling (Onshore) and Well Servicing.

In addition to completing RII21120 – Certificate II in Oil & Gas Drilling (Onshore) and Well Servicing with AWCC, students who qualify and wish to enter the Oil & Gas industry as soon as possible may be invited to join the AWCC Labour program for potential placement into the Oil & Gas industry.

The AWCC Turbo Courses allow individuals to enter the workforce and/or pursue higher education sooner, thus accelerating their career progression.

Qualification Description

This qualification reflects the role of an individual such as a roustabout, lease hand, utility operator, floor man or motorman working in drilling oil and gas (onshore) or well servicing operations. They are required to undertake a prescribed range of functions involving known routines and procedures.

  • RIIWHS201E – Work safely and follow WHS policies and procedures
  • MSMWHS217 – Gas test atmospheres
  • RIINHB201E – Load, secure and unload drilling equipment and materials
  • RIIVEH201E – Operate a light vehicle
  • RIIVEH305F – Operate and maintain a four wheel drive vehicle
  • RIIWHS202E – Enter and work in confined spaces
  • RIIWHS204E – Work safely at heights
