Heights Rescue (Gotcha Kit Training)

The AWCC Gotcha Kit Heights Rescue Program covers:

• Pre-job planning, hazard identification and risk assessment
• Positioning of fall arrest lanyards and fall arrest blocks
• Understand the physical impacts of suspension following a fall incident and first response planning after recovery
• Checking the Gotcha System for wear and correct storage
• Process of raising the casualty and releasing them from their original fall arrest system.
• Decision making processes for raising or lowering of the fallen casualty
• Demonstrate the remote attachment of the casualty and retrieve them to a point of safety
• Demonstrate knowledge of the maximum working length for the Gotcha Rescue Kit in use
• Understand the various colour coded options that Gotcha Rescue Kits come in for simplicity in length identification

The AWCC Gotcha Rescue Kit Program is delivered with a mix of Theory Presentations and Practical Industry Scenarios that many employees in the Construction, Mining, Transport and Energy professions will find familiar.

This program can be booked sequentially with AWCC’S nationally accredited Work Safely at Heights (RIIWHS204D) Program, held every Monday at both Brisbane and Toowoomba training centres.
